Being a transplant from Chicago myself, I know the anticipation of driving an hour and a half to reach this incredible place — and the dread of the ride back to the city. For years, I would come here just for a night, to breathe it in and feel renewed. That rhythm of arrival and departure taught me something: the beauty of this area never really leaves you. It stays in your heart, waiting to be recalled. Now, I am grateful to call this place home. Every day I walk the woods next door with my dog, Stella, and the beach is only three and a half miles from my house.

Stella has even made her way into one of my calendar photographs on the shore — a reminder that beauty is never just seen, but shared. These simple moments — the light through the trees, the endless horizon, the shifting dunes — are what inspire my work. I invite you to bring a little of this place home with you, whether in a small photographic print or a large-format image. My hope is that each piece brings comfort and joy, carrying you through the long winter until you return again, and reminding you of the incredible beauty that is always here.
